Tony Moly: Ice Queen Snow- White Sleeping Cream

Lately, I've become more and more concerned with proper skin care. The fact that I'm so much in love with make-up, skin care products are next to hoard :P. I still believe that good skin care would be better off than piling lots of make up. But then, my skin care are very basic.

CLEANSE, TONE AND MOISTURIZE

At night, I'm so lazy to put anything on my face. Especially if I'm too tired. Sometimes (more often) I 'm too lazy to go through the basic skin care regimen at night. I would only clear off my eye make up with my trusty Etude House Mascara Remover : One Shot Clean and use cleansing wipes to remove make up. I know that by doing so, I neglect to take good care of my skin.

So glad that I've discovered a new way of taking care of my skin. SLEEPING CREAM. I've read a lot of articles that during our sleep, our skin regenerates. And with the help of great innovative skin care nowadays, achieving perfect skin is no longer a problem.

Tony Moly's Ice Queen Snow-White Sleeping Cream (P578/50ml) is one of my best buy. I love its creamy but airy texture. So light and easily absorbed by the skin. It has the icy cool feel once it touches the skin. I use it 2-3 times a week. I apply it before I go to bed and when I wake up, I have an instant glowing and brightened skin. Skin so fresh. I guarantee, you'll look forward to the next night that you will be using it. (it is not recommended for nightly use) :(

LOOOVVEEE the packaging. I have to confess, it is the reason why I had to check it out and try it. Too cute to pass. But loved it even more when tested it. Just have one tiny issue, the scent. It is a bit strong for a skin care. Not that it annoys me but for those who are sensitive with scent might not like this much.

How about you lovelies? Is there any new and fun innovative product that you would want to share? I would love to try them too :) Share it to me lovelies....

FOTD: Smokey Green Eyes

Finally, I'm able to come up with my first ever FOTD (face of the day). I've been wanting to do different looks that I could share with my lovelies. The different looks that I would do are looks that could somehow inspire lovelies to try out. Somehow to give an idea that these looks may not seem wearable but actually ARE wearable.

Since this would be my first FOTD, I'm still trying to work out on how this would be informative as possible . So please bear with me. I would definitely improve on it as I do more of how to get the look part.

With Flash

Without Flash (green is not too bold)

How to look good in Green Eyes:

1. Apply foundation ( Mac Studio Fix NC30)

2. Apply eye shadow primer (Etude Proof 10 Eye Primer) - This would make eye shadow look brighter and will help prevent creasing.

3. Apply concealer on the under eye and areas that needs more coverage ( Etude Surprise Essence Concealer #2). Liquid concealer is best used on the under eye since it is easier to work

with. Blendable and lightweight. But for those with darker under eye concerns, a creamier concealer is needed.

4. Set concealer with loose powder (Skin Alison Raffaele Transparent Finish)

5. Line and fill in the eye brows ( Shu Uemura brow pencil and Mac Girl Boy Brow Set)

6. EYE Shadow:

  • Apply NYX Jumbo Pencil in Horse Raddish all over the lid as a baseb
  • Apply a light matte yellow green shadow over NYX Horse Raddish
  • Apply a mid tone green show on the outer V of the eye blending towards the crease
  • Apply a darker green shadow concentrating on the outer corner only and added a little brown to further contour the eye
  • Apply same dark green shadow on the lower outer corner lash line
  • Blending the outer color a little bit outward
  • Apply a shimmery yellow shadow on the inner third of the lid
  • Apply Mac Fluidline to line the eyes. In my case I always have a thicker line on the outer corner of my eye to create the illusion of lifted eye. ---I used gel liner to be subtle but using a liquid liner will give a bolder look :)
  • Curl Lashes and apply Maybelline Cat Eyes Hypercurl Mascara
  • Apply Falsies
7. Contour and highlight cheeks with Stila Contouring Trio

8. Apply blush on the apple of the cheeks (Mac Pink Swoon)

9. Finish off the look with a neural shade of lipstick (Mac Syrup)

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE:
Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, Skin Alison Raffaele
Transparent Finish, EtudeHouse Surprise Essence Concealer

CHEEKS AND LIPS:
Stila Contouring Trio, Mac blush in Pink Swoon, Mac lipstick in Syrup

EYES:
Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer, NYX Jumbo eye Pencil in Horse Raddish,
Mac Girl Boy Brow Set, Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil.
Not in the pic: Maybelline Cat Eyes Hypercurl Mascara

88 Matte Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Palette

Helpful Tip:

When creating a look, it is important to know what part of the face that you want to highlight. You can not have two bold looking parts of the face. Like with this look, since I already have my eyes the center of attention, I left everything else subtle and natural. This way it won't be confusing and would not compete with each other. The look would rather look balanced.

A nice balanced Night time look. A WEARABLE Green Smokey Eyes ;)

So lovelies out there, why not try this out? Don't be scared of trying bright and bold colors. You'd be surprised with how colors could change your looks for different occasions. Play with colors. It is fun!!!! It's just a matter of blending. Tell me what you think....

Etude House Haul Part 2

Like I said in my first Etude Haul, I've been and still is so much hooked with Etude House make up and skin care. They've got very affordable stuff, extremely cute packaging and most especially amazingly effective products. Quality was not sacrificed at all.

Almost every week I would visit their boutique and literally find what to buy. I do have a list but whenever I'm in their store I end up buying what's NOT on my list. Just realized that I'm starting to hoard each and every product they are selling. Oh my! I just hope they would not stop coming up with new collections so that I could always find something to buy from Etude.

I'm hopeful that I could write about each and every item that I got. As you can see from the picture, some are still sealed and unopened. I just love have new nice stuff added to my collection.

Loving their face powder and face highlighters. How about you lovelies? Tried anything from Etude House that you would want to share? Would LOVE to hear it :)

Olay Total Effects Touch of Foundation

There are days that I'm too tired to pile on stuff on my face. But even so, I would still want to look pretty without much make up. This is where tinted moisturizer comes in reliable and becomes my best friend. Since moisturizing is a must in my everyday routine, I could not put on anything on my face without applying moisturizer. But like I said, I still do wanna look nice and moisturizer would not do this alone. And so, I want to have even skin tone that's why I want a moisturizer and is tinted to even out my skin.

Olay Total Effects : Touch of Foundation (around P700)

I got hold of this the day it was out in the market. It was then a couple of years back. Glad that Olay came up with a tinted moisturizer. Over all, It is a good tinted moisturizer. It also has SPF 15. And I know for sure that I still get the benefits of my Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 anti-ageing cream. The Texture is more thicker than the normal Olay Total Effects moisturizer. It was more like a creamy liquid foundation but has very sheer coverage. Just enough to give an even toned skin but with very light feel. Has the same light weight feel when moisturizer is applied.

However, I don't know if it is a downside but I think for those with extremely fairer skin, this would not be a catch. I'm a Nc25 and I find this a bit darker than my skin tone. But I don't really mind because on me, it blends well on my skin tone and gives me that nice sheer sun kissed glow look. Not much difference on my real skin tone. I'm on my second jar and will continue purchasing whenever it runs out. This is very handy during summer and on days that I just want to look naturally beautiful :)

SOMEHING that you might want to try ....

On THOSE days, I usually just put on Olay Total Effects Touch of foundation as my base, curl my lashes with a layer volumizing mascara, a nice bright shade of cream blush and tinted gloss or lipstain to finish my look. This would definitely give you a natural look. A look that would show the natural beauty in you.

Etude House Miss U Hand Cream

I can't sleep and I can't wait to complete all the Etude House Miss U Hand Cream (P278 each). Aren't they cute and super adorable? Too Damn Cute to handle! Admit it, they are perfectly packaged.

Variants:
Fairy Penguin - Cotton (powder)
Pink Dolphin - Rose
Harp Seal - Green Tea
Panda - Peach

I got the Penguin because it is my favorite scent (powder). And it didn't disappoint me when I tried it in the store. What I like about it is that since it is a hand cream, texture is very light and is easily absorbed. Texture is more like of a lotion than of a hand cream. It did not leave any feel of greasiness like other hand cream does. It is moisturizing as well and leaves skin soft. Moreso, the scent lingers for awhile. :)

The only downside of this is that there's not much product inside the cute jar. The hand cream was like the bonus of this cuteness. It is about 30 ml. But then, I still want them all. I want to see all of them on my vanity table soon.

Lovelies, I want more of these. Have you tried them? Maybe you have tried other cute stuff that you may want to share. I would love to hear it and grab some for myself :)

Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum

As we age, we become more conscious of how our skin would look like. The smoothness, even toned and mostly wrinkle- free skin are what we all lovelies would want to maintain as we grow older.

Ever since I got hooked with make up in my early 20's, I started caring for my skin. Moisturizing is one of the many regimen that I do. Early on, moisturizing my face was not enough because I needed to find a good eye cream that would help moisturize my eye area. It was known to me that, the eye area has the most thinnest skin of the face. And that, signs of ageing are first seen on the eye area. Since the eye area is the most delicate part, wrinkles started to show on my right under eye. It sucks because it just reminded me that I'm getting older :( .

I've tried several eye creams before but only Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum (P995/15ml) did helped my wrinkles to be less noticeable. But then, it took time before I saw a difference. It was about 3-4 weeks when my concealer no longer set in my lines. That's when I realized that it really did work. I was so determined that I used it in the morning and before I go to bed. It paid off.

It didn't really vanished my lines but it showed a big improvement and minimized it . At least, that is better than not trying to prevent it at all. I also love the texture. It is not greasy at all. If applied thinly, it would easily absorb and has silky finish.

For you lovelies out there, start a good skin care regimen now. It's never too late to care for your skin. Remember, prevention is much CHEAPER than cure.

Stay beautiful, even as you age...

Etude Mascara Remover :One shot clean

Removing waterproof, smudge proof and long staying make up could be one's worst enemy. Especially if you don't have the right tool to for it. My mom used to remove eye make up with baby oil. But then, baby oil does not completely remove waterproof mascara. I end up having black residue on my under eye which is hard to remove by just washing my face. And so, I've always needed and in search for a good eye make up remover.

Etude Mascara Remover (P198/80 ml)

If it wasn't for Etude giving me a sample of this remover as their GWP -gift with purchase, I would not have tried it right away. It was comparable to my favorite lip and eye make up remover from Maybelline.

The formula is quite similar to other eye make up remover. From the bottle , the liquid is clearly separated. You have to shake it first before use. If it is not mixed well, it wouldn't serve it's purpose.

Direction for Use:
1.) Shake well, soak cotton pad with remover.
2.) Press it on the eye area for about 20 seconds to dissolve make up. Never rub.
3.) Gently pat and remove residue until no trace of make up.

I SAY ...

I was not so impressed with the remover since I had to wait for about 20 seconds and had to wipe it off several times before I finally got rid of my waterproof mascara. It also felt oily on my eyelids after. The "one shot clean " claim was not true at all. However, it did it's purpose, just longer time removing makeup. I would still go for my all time fave Maybelline Lip and Eye Make up Remover.

But then, I still contradicted myself. I bought the full size. I just have to be more patient :) in removing my long staying mascara.

Overall--- it's worth a try lovelies :) Those who are patient and wants value for their money, this would work just fine.

Etude Aloha Henna Fix Proof 10 Mascara : Super Fix

I’ve always envied girls with long and thick, lashes. Unfortunately, I am one of those Asian women who were not blessed with inborn natural long, thick and curly lashes. And so, this has been a great challenge for me to find a very good mascara that would give me luscious lashes.

Being in the state of Etude House cosmetics addiction for these past few weeks, I discovered this Etude House Aloha Henna Fix Proof 10 Mascara : Super Fix. I was told that this is waterproof and it volumnizes. And what really made me try and buy it was that I could swim with it. J

Good thing that weekend my family went on a swimming vacation, I was able to try it and see if it was really waterproof. Gladly, it stayed on my lashes. I was so careful not to rub my eyes because it might smudged. At least for that matter, it was true to its claim.

The downside... it was pricey for a mascara. It was P628 for a tube. It was more expensive than my all time favorite mascara from Maybelline (which for me the brand that creates the best mascara in the market). I was a bit disappointed because it came out to be just an ordinary mascara. It did not gave me longer lashes and it did not volumnized it evidently. It just simply covered my lashes and enhanced it a bit. I regret not trying it in the store. But then, I never really try mascara from the testers because I’m afraid to get eye infection. I just thought that having waterproof mascara when I go swimming and also for days that are very humid, this mascara would be a best friend. Maybe for the fact that it stayed on, but for the effect I wanted on my lashes, I didn’t think it was all worth it. I could get cheaper mascara.

My lashes :( before mascara...

With Etude Aloha Henna Fix Proof 10 Mascara

How about you lovelies? What good mascara have you tried? I would love to hear from you and try other great mascaras you've tried. Hopefully to give me more long and thick lashes :)

Lander Peppermint Pampering Foot Blush

Who said BLUSH are only for the cheeks?! I say, your feet also deserves to be cheeky.... :)

I'm glad I've found LANDER Peppermint Pampering Foot Blush (P99/225ml). While going through the aisles of SM supermarket, this caught my attention. A foot blush. Having healthy looking feet would mean well moisturized and pinkish heel. It got me even more excited to try it when I saw the cheap price. Imagine, P99 for a 225 ml foot blush? This would last me for a long time.

So excited, tried it as soon as I got home. Let's see if it's true to its claim... ---- gives skin a natural healthy glow for beautiful pinkish feet . Hope I don't get the unsightly reddish feet.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

After a few spray of the Lander Foot Blush on my freshly moisturized feet, I was glad to have a natural glowing pinkish feet. Tada!! It made my feet look really healthy without looking too blushed ;). I got a good deal with this foot blush. It also instantly refreshed my feet with it's cooling properties. Peppermint that is. This would perfectly complement my ETUDE House Rich Butter Heel Cream.

You lovelies out there, why not try a foot blush and let me know what you think. I bet, you'll love the look of your newly pinkish healthy feet.

Etude House Hand Bouquet: Rich Butter Heel Cream

Don't we lovelies hate having dry, cracked and chapped heels??? We may not admit it but we always unconsciously neglect to care for our feet. I am guilty of this as well. Maybe this is because we hate that greasy feeling after applying heel creams. This is no excuse that's why some of us do this regimen at night before going to bed.

I'm glad that I tried this Etude Rich Butter Heel cream ( P298). When I tested in the store, it was light on skin. It was easily absorbed by the skin. If I would use this on my feet after shower and before going out, I could enjoy the benefit of having soft and moisturized feet. WITHOUT the greasy feel. Just be careful not to put too much. A thin layer would do just fine. I didn't have any second thoughts because the fact that the texture was great, scent was pleasant, it was really a STEAL ---- very cheap and affordable for the generous amount of 100g. For it's price, I could definitely not go wrong.

I SAY....

It is a 5/5 for me. Like I said it is very affordable for the amount you get. It fulfills its purpose --- to moisturize those dry heels. I love how the light texture and the fact it easily absorbed, I could enjoy nice looking supple feet on busy days. Not only that, I say that it is very effective. For lazy days that I forget to apply this, I no longer see dry spots and cracked heel. :)

Etude House Haul Part 1

For the past few weeks I've been wanting to visit Etude House weekly. I feel bad that after awhile that Etude House has been around in the Philippines, I just recently became super addicted with their ubberly cute stuff. I'm a self confessed sucker for cute packaging of make up and skin care. That is why Korean brands never fails to get my attention.

When it was finally available in SM Makati Dept. Store, I kept on coming back for their nice shades of PINKY lipsticks and glosses. They were my faves then. Unfortunately, I never really get to see the products they carry since they only have limited selection. But since they only carry limited stuff, my cravings was put to an end.

Not until , they opened a boutique in Market Market which I am so grateful. Every time I would visit Etude house, I would not only try their make up but also their skin care. Recently I visited their branch in SM Bicutan. Their SA's were very pleasant, patient and I must admit, I felt the urge of splurging (YIKES!).

See how much I have collected from my weekly visit to Etude House. These are only part of my Etude haul. I haven't included the ones I got before I got hooked with Etude. I still have a long wish list. Hope I get them before Christmas 2011! I'm so happy! These are my sweets!

PS. What I love about Etude House is that they have GWP (Gift with Purchase). This is an opportunity for buyers to try out sample products. This way it would keep Etude fans to come back for more. LOVE IT!

Can't wait to try everything. Hopefully to review each of them soon!

Lovelies, please suggest what other Etude House stuff that is a MUST-TRY. Oh my, temptations, temptations. :) Can't wait to hear from you ladies....

Benefit Dr. Feelgood

BENEFIT SAYS:

dr. feelgood

" This invisible refiner, blended with Vitamin C helps to smooth away the appearance of fine lines while leaving skin feeling and looking silky, flawless and matte to touch. It's a colorless, weightless miracle worker."

"How to use: Pat and smooth over make up with its accompanying sponge. Or, simply wear it alone "

From the time I got hooked with Benefit Cosmetics, this was one of the haul that I got and tested. I was so excited and pretty much hopeful that this was available locally so I could test it first before buying it. Since it was not possible to try, I relied on reviews . So far, I've read equally good and not so bad review.

I've had this for awhile and I feel that even if I don't have this in my beauty stash, I would not have missed much. From what it claims, it is a beauty balm that keeps the skin matte and prep skin to be flawlessly smooth. It really did made my skin more refined and kept oiliness at bay. HOWEVER, it somehow confuses me at first if I should use it as a primer or over make up.

When I tried it to over make up, I was disappointed. It streaked and erased my make-up. I could see through my skin. I just pat it on as it instructed but ended messing up my make up. When I wore it alone, it SOMEHOW made my skin matte and silky but fine lines and enlarged pores didn't show big difference. Finally, I tried it as a make up base for my liquid foundation. It didn't succeed either. I had a hard time blending my foundation because the waxy, powdery finish of dr. feelgood did not mix well. What a waste of money, I thought.

Good thing that I tried it with powder foundation and mineral foundation. It worked really well with them and had an oil free skin for a day. That's when I finally got a use for Benefit dr. feelgood. It is also very useful when I'm too lazy to put on make up. I wear this alone with my powder blush, mascara and lip stain.

V E R D I C T:
I have tried other face primer that works better with any foundation. I don't think I would repurchase since it is 24g. Since it did not fulfill as what it is for --- a mattifier over make up (for me), I could forget that I had this.

PS.

This may have worked for others, what I write and say here only relies on my personal experience of this product. Or, maybe, I'm using it the wrong way that's why i don't get expected results. Another is since I live in a tropical country, that may have an effect on dr. feelgood balm. Please let me know what you've experienced.

Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer

When I started with my make up addiction, I never really gave attention to eye primers. I've always thought that a good concealer application and setting it properly with powder on the eye area is enough to make eye shadow adhere well. It worked fine though as a great base. However, with regards to color pay off and long wear aspect, it made me think otherwise. I realized that having eye primer applied before eye shadow helped my eyelids control oil build up and crease free. My eye shadow colors also showed up more vibrant.

One of the eye primer I've tried is the Etude Proof 10 Eye Primer (P298/10g). I wanted to give it a try because I'm really disappointed with Urban Decay Primer Potion or UDPP. Don't get me wrong, it was the best eye primer I've ever tried. It's just that I'm allergic to it. Sometimes, I still use it anyway and deal with the allergic reaction after.

Thank God, I saw this lovely eye primer from Etude and tried it from the store. It was comparable to UDPP for it's color and texture. The Proof 10 Eye Primer was creamier and when it dries up, it was not totally matte. It claims to withstand eye make up for 24 hours. I haven't used it that long but I say it was pretty awesome that my eye shadow stayed put. There was no creasing, considering that I have really oil eye lids. It performed really well. Actually I was really impressed. It didn't cost me a fortune to fine a dupe for my UDPP. It was worth it. What is really really great?! No allergic reaction.

I would be happy to recommend this for lovelies out there who could not get hold of the Urban Decay Primer Potion. It may not be the exact dupe for UDPP but it impressingly works really well. Having an eye primer would save you from touching up shadows. Especially with the humid weather we have here in the Philippines, a good and reliable eye primer , Etude Proof 10 Eye Primer that is, should be a magic staple product in your vanity kits.

PROS:

  • very cheap and affordable ( hard to pass on)
  • long wearing
  • blendable
  • a good eye shadow base
CONS:
  • packaging - cannot get all the product when it's almost 50% empty unless to cut open the bottle

P.S.

Try it and tell me what you think..... Or if you've tried other eye primer and love it as well.

Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation

Every girl regardless of age, race, and color, would always want to have extraordinary glowing skin. Unfortunately, no one is exempted in having UNperfect skin.

I do love make up. This is because it could enhance my features and hide flaws. But then, truly that no amount of make up could beat a well taken cared skin. HOWEVER, a little help from wonderful beauty products available in the market won't be bad :).

I have found gold in Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation (P1250 / 30 ml.). Not because of it's glittering finish but for it's GLOWING touch . I definitely fell in love with how dewy my skin looked. It was a bit shiny but when finished of with loose powder, skin looked totally great. The shimmer was not evident. I got undeniably fresh , younger looking skin. I have tried different illuminating foundation, but this one was the best so far. The shimmering effect was very fine. I could not see obvious glitter.

Without Flash:

With flash

DOWNSIDE:

If you've got oily skin, I prefer that you stick to matte finish foundation like dual powder foundation. Because the fact that the finish of any illuminating product is shiny, the natural oil build up of skin would add up to the shininess to the skin . Might end up looking greasy.

Tip: for those with oily skin - use powder highlighters with minimal shimmer and glitter to add just right amount of glow.

I'm not sure if it is a downside, but for those who wants full coverage, this may not be the one. Since it is illuminating, it has sheer finish. It can be buildable BUT I don' think it will look nice. A thin layer would be a perfect dewy finish. A thicker application may be a "disco ball" art (which would be a disaster).

What I Think?

I highly recommend this product for days that you just want to look UNMADE UP. A nice dewy finish would still always be the best look everyday of the week.

I'm still in search for a good illuminating foundation from other brands and of different texture. Please feel free to suggest what you've tried. Hope to hear from you lovelies.....

Cream Blush

I've been always a huge fan of cream based blushes. This includes cream, cream to powder and mousse type. Don't get me wrong, I do hate the sticky feeling when these creamy textured make up are applied on to my face. B U T, I just could not give up the fact that these looks more natural, easier to blend and mostly gives me the look of glow from within. It does not give the hard, stiff, unnatural look. Anyways, there are more reasons why YOU should get hold of these lovelies.

These are some of my cream based blushers:

Since they are cream based, there's a tendency that it might not be long wearing. Especially if used in tropical countries (like here in the Philippines) where make up tend to melt fast. But then, I have exciting reasons why you should at least own one of these gorgeous creamy blushers.

Reason 1: Natural Glow

It looks natural and gives a perfect "glow from within" look. No need to stick to natural, nude boring shades of blush. You could experiment on bright shades like hot pink and red cheeks. Because cream blushers leave a very nice sheen and wash of color. Color tends to melt into skin. Just have to blend, blend, blend with your fingertips or in my case I use stippling brush. Unlike powder blushes, color tend to sit on top of the foundation and looks clownish (esp. if not blended well) .

Reason no.2: Multi Tasking

Usually these blushes could also be used as lip color. That's why I love the Stila Convertible Color P845. ---(cheaper than $24 ) It may be a bit drying on the lips but I put lip balm first to moisturize my lips before I dab it on. I'm loving it more because I could use these creamy blush as a base for my powder blushes. It would now give me long wearing blush that would last he whole day. And my blush could either look brighter or more prominent.

Reason no. 3: Custom color

I could create numerous shades to be more cheeky. There's is really no rule that whatever the color of the cream blush, powder blush should be exactly the same. I love combining apricot shade of cream blush and top it off with bright pinky powder blush. Now, you can create different looks.

Reason no. 4: EASY to USE

Don't think so??? I know some might disagree but powder blushes are more hard to use especially if one could not blend. The reason might be is that the most common texture of blushes sold in the market are powder blushes. If you notice, there would be some girls wearing red, pinky stripes on their cheeks. Tsk, tsk, that is because of poor blending. Unlike with cream blushes, a little pat and blending gives the right amount of color and is buildable. Finish is very sheer. Both make up junkies and newbies shares the same benefit for saving time in prepping.

Bonus:
You can still look your best even on outdoor sports and when hitting the beach ;)

Cons:
  • Cannot wear it with heavy powder foundation
  • if you have super dooper oily skin
  • very sheer, not for those who wants full make-up
  • sometimes could stain fingers
  • NOT long wearing unless is set by powder or powder blush
  • cream based make up are prone to dust (tip: to clean upper layer, use a clean sponge to swipe on the top layer LIGHTLY to avoid getting too much product)

Tools needed:

I say that your fingers works as well as brushes. It gives warmth to the product before it is applied. But then, for hygienic purposes , i opted for using brushes so it is evenly blended on my face and that natural oil from my hands won't have to add to the blush. Because with fingers, it depends on how the movement of it. Sometimes, streaking is resulted.

I prefer using a stippling brush and a foundation brush. These kind of brushes are synthetic and it really works well with any cream based make-up. I usually use foundation brush to apply color and use stippling brush to blend. But then either or can be perfectly used in putting cream blushes. Setting of loose powder would be optional if you want to mattify. But for me, i skip it sometimes if i want to achieve dewy fresh look.

Verdict:

It would be a staple in my stash, as it has ever been. Expecially for days that I would want to look simple yet fresh. There's no way I'll give it up. Actually, I'm in search for other brands that has more brighter colors. PLEASE, PLEASE do share it with me. Would love to hear from you. So I'll have a reason to add it on my collection and maybe added to my FAVES. :)

P.S.
I will review each brand of cream blushes that I tried... SOON!

Etude House Color Me Nude

Who said that concealer are only for blemishes, dark circles, acne and scars???? I say, THANK YOU Etude House for having a great product such as their Color Me Nude lip concealer. Yes, a lip concealer and a lip base that helps neutralize lip color and smoothen lips.

I used to be grateful for having very pigmented rosy lips because I don't need to always apply lip products. I could put on a pinky balm and I'm off to go.
But as I try on different make up trends, I realized that I could not wear light and bright shades of lipsticks. It always end up looking heavy and dark. I envy those who could slick on nude lippies and complete their glam smokey eye make up. I couldn't even pull off pale peach and pinks shades because the natural shade of my lips keeps on showing underneath. The finish is uneven and unsightly.

VERDICT:

This would be a staple in my make up stash. Not only it made my lips smooth for flawless lip color application, shade of the lipstick stayed true on lips. Exact color as it is expected to appear. Non-drying. The only downside is to scrub away chapped and dry lips prior to application of Color Me Nude lip concealer.

Ladies out there with highly pigmented natural lips, do grab your own Etude Color Me Nude. See how your old forgotten lippies transform into new bright, exciting color. Bonus: Lipstick stays put!!!

Beauty Treats Lipstick in Pink 133

What I'm loving now is an ultimate cheap thrill from Beauty Treats lipstick (available in Watson's). I've always fallen in love with any pink shade of make up especially for the lips. My make-up haul would consist of a lot of pinky shades from eyeshadow, blushers to LIPPIES --- lip balm, lip stain, lip cream, lipstick, lipgloss etc. more than corals and bronze shades.

I'm super addicted to the brightness of this pinky yummy lipstick....

Beauty Treats lipstick in Pink 133 (Bright Neon Hot Pink)
Made in USA
Watson's P195 - so cheap

The texture is VERY creamy. I find it best to use with lip brush so that color would spread evenly on lips. Coverage is buildable and has a glossy finish. Can skip on gloss. Non-drying. Leaves a bit of stain. It lasts for about 4-6 hours, depending on what you do in between :)

What I hate about it????
The quality of packaging. The first time I used it, the lipstick was detached from the holder. Since then , I had to be careful every time I use it :P But what the heck, I still got the most coveted PINK shade of lipstick close to MAC's Candy Yum Yum.
Will definitely hoard on this one :)

I just feel a lot prettier and flirty with pinks. I guess, it complements my NC25-Nc30 skin. It even brightens my face on days that I want little make up. What's good with pink lips is that I could pair it with bright pink blush for a healthy glow.

What do you think? Please leave me a message or let me know if there are shades that you think would also look good on me. And also shades of lippies that you would want me to write about. Anything about make-up :) would be my greatest pleasure.....
